Children of God, may you spend time sitting at the feet of Jesus and learning from Him. May you open your heart to him and may He be your greatest friend. As you let His love transform you, may you learn to love those around you. We are praying for you! Push through, Promiseland. Jesus is near and He is so close to you!

Sermon Recap:

Follow Me Series: Washed to Wash, Loved to Love

John 13:1-20

As we sit at the feet of Jesus, he teaches us His way of love.

  • Jesus is not afraid or disgusted by the dirtiest thing you've ever done.

  • As followers of Jesus, if we want to be a part of what Jesus is doing, if we truly want to be His disciples and serve him, we MUST let Him see our dirtiest parts and be cleansed by Him.

  • Jesus loves and serves every person, even the ones who he knows will betray him.

  • Jesus humbled himself to love those around him.

  • What He says to us is, Would you learn from me and humble yourself to serve even those who hate & give you a hard time?

Sermon Reflection

  1. What is one place in my life that I'm too scared or embarrassed to share to anyone?

  2. Is there a person in my life that is hard for me to love and serve?

  3. What makes it hard for me to be humble to love even those younger/older than me or those that annoy me?

  4. When I am pressed and uncomfortable, do I respond in love or in anger or in running away?

You are not too dirty, too messed up, or too broken to be cleansed and loved by Jesus. And your neighbor, your brother, your sister, and every person too is not too dirty to be cleansed and loved by Jesus.

He's washed you so that you can wash them. He loves us so we can love them.
