Sermon Recap:

NEW: Follow Me Series

Matthew 4: 19

"And Jesus said to them, 'Follow me...'"

Reflections:

  • Recall a memory where you felt unloved by God? Bring that memory to Jesus and declare that it was a lie!

  • In the future, whenever you feel unloved by God, remember to name the lie and destroy it!

  • In every situation, how would Jesus have responded?

Sermon Recap:

Preparing for Jesus

Romans 8:31-39

"What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died - more than that, who was raised - who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written,

'For your sake we are being killed all day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.'

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, not height nor depth, not anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Reflections:

  • Walk in the victory of His love for you!

  • Remember that we celebrate Easter because God made a way that we will never be separated from His love.

  • How can you share this unconditional love that's been given to you with someone you know?

Sermon Recap:

Preparing for Jesus

Luke 19:37-38

" When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:

Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!

“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

Reflections:

  • We must respond to the visit of God in our lives everyday. We must welcome His visit in our lives.

  • How can we know when God is visiting? Sermon, parent, friend, a crisis, in our minds and hearts.

  • How can you prepare for Jesus to come in your life, to visit you everyday?

  • Will you put aside all the distractions, toys, games, online activities to welcome Jesus in your hearts and homes?

  • Allow God to continue to visit you and make Jesus your King everyday.

Please watch this video to help you understand why it is important for us to still be PREPARING for Jesus to come, in our hearts everyday, and when He comes back for us to see him face to face.
