Follow Me Series: Jesus Bore our Sickness

Matthew 8:14-17

"And when Jesus entered Peter's house, he saw his mother-in-law lying sick with a fever. He touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she rose and began to serve him. That evening they brought to him many who were oppressed by demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah:“He took our illnesses and bore our diseases."


Jesus Bears our Sickness

  • When Jesus prays for us and lays hands on people to heal them, the sickness leaves their bodies and enters his OWN body!

  • When Jesus took our sickness with him, He took them to the Cross and He OVERCAME all sickness, death, and sorrow.

  • His life was BROKEN so that we can have life.

Mother's Day Reflection

  • How can you honor your mom? She is the closest image of Jesus in your life.

  • When she asks you to do something, do it. When she is cleaning the house, ask to HELP her.

  • Remember, just like Jesus broke his body to give life to us, your mom also broke her body to give life to YOU!

Follow Me Series: Come, Come Again

Matthew 6:25-33, 7:7-12

"If that's how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and thrown into the furnace tomorrow, won't he do much more for you- you of little faith?... But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.


Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened... If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him."

SEEK & COME

  • When we practice, we will fail, because we are broken people. But God already know that.

  • Fear can stop us. Fear of failure makes us frozen. Fear is the voice of the enemy.

  • When we fail, God's invitation to us is to SEEK him, to keep COMING AGAIN.

  • Will you let Jesus be your Teacher and your Coach? Will you let him teach you when you fail?

Matthew 5:13-16

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."


  • Salt helps preserve and protect

  • Light brightens your path

  • We can act like we know Jesus, but does our life actually show it?

  • Does the light inside you show the light of God? Does your life lead people to God's truth and love?
